OSARECOMPANY will announce the new uniform for Niihama Higashi High School, the 12th school incorporating「O.C.S.D」, which is a collaboration between OSARECOMPANY Inc. (Chiyoda-ku Tokyo, CEO Kazuki Uchimura, referred to as “OSARECOMPANY” below) and Akashi School Uniform Company Ltd. (Kurashiki-shi Okayama, CEO Hidefumi Kawai, referred to as “AKASHI S.U.C.” below).
■What is school uniform brand「O.C.S.D.」?
「O.C.S.D.」is an abbreviation for OSARECOMPANY SCHOOL DESIGN where OSARECOMPANY, which handles costume production, styling, and hair&makeup of the AKB48 Group collaborates with AKASHI S.U.C., which is a major school uniform company entering its 153rd year in 2018, to create school uniforms.
This brand, created in 2016, has been implemented in 9 schools nationwide from Spring 2017 and 6 new schools will incorporate this brand starting from April 2019 (making a total of 15 schools).

The new uniforms of Niihama Higashi High School which will be the 12th school and 1st school in the Shikoku area to implement「O.C.S.D.」will officially start from April 2019.
We aimed for a fresh and classy design with the concept of “Only One Niihama Higashi High School 100 Year Uniform”.
We have expressed the “Only One” by adding the school sakura (cherry blossom) pink and the Kokuryou river blue which runs close to campus in both the girls’ and boys’ uniforms.
The gold buttons and emblem go well with the dark navy jacket and the bi-pink color of the collar creates high originality. The subtle sakura flower in the emblem is also a point to look out for.

School uniform renewal background
The current uniform has a long tradition and is locally deeply rooted , but we have considered a model change in the uniform when celebrating our 80th anniversary.
Based on requests from teachers, parents, and students, this new uniform has come into shape. Looking ahead at our 100th anniversary, we hope to show the community the charms of our school through this new uniform.
Message to new students to wear this uniform
We have put our hopes of our school and students to be loved by the local community even more by incorporating the「Kokuryou River」and「Sakura」in the uniform.
We hope for all of our students to shine as the “Only One” by finding something they can delve into, whether it be their studies, extra-curriculars, etc.

Design and characteristics of the uniform
Overall, this is very cute. Before joining AKB48, I went to a school that didn’t have uniforms, so I really envy uniforms like these.
I love pink so I like the pink that is included in the blue line of the skirt.
It’s a plus to see a formal type of uniform like this to have a subtle pink accent.
The ribbon also has some pink in it and the small sizing is very cute.
The material of the shirt (knit shirt) is very intriguing! This is very practical as you do not have to worry about ironing it every morning!
Message to new students to wear this uniform
I have only lived for 18 years, but I think the high school days are the most fun. High school is basically the last time you get to be with your friends every day, so I would like students to enjoy that and also study for their futures so they could have a happy high school life.
